Conservative social media users outraged, demanding administration take action
Kuwait: In Kuwait, conservative thinking seems to prevail even in the present era. An example of this is the latest viral video of a music concert. Seeing this, the majority of the Kuwaiti people have become enraged and termed it moralistic and social values. According to details, a concert was held at a local hotel in Kuwait, in which Iraqi artist Hassam al-Rassam made his singing magic.
On their songs, the men and women participating in the concerts swam around in their seats and gave their heartfelt greetings. However, as soon as a video of the event took place on social media, there was intense criticism from the traditional class. Even some Kuwaiti parliamentarians have termed this video as morals.
"What happened at the concert of the Iraqi singer, we cannot allow this dishonest and nasty dance," said Mohammad Haif, a Member of Parliament.
The Ministry of Information should take notice of such nonsense and make sure that such acts do not take place in the future. However, Member of Parliament Majid Al-Mutairi said that such immoral attitudes can never be allowed in our traditional society.
Information Minister Mohammad El-Jabri has announced the formation of an inquiry committee on the incident. He said that legal action will be taken against those responsible after the investigation is completed. The company holding the concert has also been suspended for three months.
